Fairlane's founder, Keith Ashley, shakes the hand of John R. Garshott, Jr., Fairlane's new owner. John has an extensive background with Ford Motor Company. Fairlane is an excellent source for premium-quality fiberglass components for '41-48 Fords and Mercurys, as well as '42-56 Ford and '41-72 Chevy trucks. | Though John Lamar of Statesboro, GA, is a general contractor, he could also now be considered an accomplished constructor of F-100s. His second creation, the silver '56 Effie shown here, is a companion to the red '55 F-100 that he debuted at the 2003 SuperNationals. | Including a Plexiglas bed, John and son Hunter Lamar own an Effie with a bounty of custom features. |
John and Hunter Lamar received their Top 4 Finalist trophy from consummate good guy, Ford fan, and show promoter, Pat Ford. Earning a Top 4 award at the F-100 SuperNationals and Ford Family Reunion means you own one of the four best F-100s in the country. Congratulations Lamars! | Terri and her husband Terry Altman of Russellville, AR, also earned a Top 4 trophy, for their ink-black, Lexus-powered '56 F-100, which you've probably already read about in this issue. Well done, Altmans! | For the second year in a row, Jimmy Boruff received a Top 4 Trophy for his sweet '53 Ford F-100 that he calls Low Fat. Congratulations to Jimmy, wife Sandy, and son Chris! We heard a rumor that they're going to build a '55 F-100 next. We can't wait! |
Jordan (receiving trophy from Pat Ford), Owner Rick Clutter, and the '56 F-100's builder, Jordan Quintal, won the Best F-100 prize. Rick's F-100 is beyond awesome! Well done Rick and Jordan! | The swap meet section of the show was immense and full of must-have components and complete project trucks for vintage Ford pickup fans. | Ryan Fleck of Prairie, WI, received the 5th Annual Incredible Youth Award, in loving memory of Pat and Jan Ford's daughter, Brett Patton Ford. |
Kentucky's Amanda Jones brought her 302ci Ford V-8-powered '54 F-100 to the big show for the third consecutive year. Read all about the truck called Amanda Blue in the Oct. '03 CCT. | As previously mentioned, Rick Clutter of Lancaster, CA, took top honors for his '56 F-100. Throughout the three-day show, he displayed the pickup with all the doors and hatches open, so show goers could appreciate the artistic and meticulous craftsmanship of the F-100's builder, Jordan, owner of Super Rides in Lancaster, CA. | After creatively crafting a '56 F-100 crew cab, the astute truck builder attached a utility trailer for bringing the incidentals, like a beverage-filled cooler and show-truck cleaning and waxing supplies. Smart. |
Ford trucks of all varieties were prevalent at the 27th Annual F-100 SuperNationals and Ford Family Reunion. Franklinville, NC's Linda and Richard Park restored their F-1 to factory-new condition. | Terri and Terry Altman own the beautiful black '56 F-100 in the center of the photo. The two Ts are flanked by Vickie and James Stancil's fantastic '66 Unibody F-100 on the left and Laura and Eric Brown's formidible'50 F-1 on the right. You could call this photo "Fordolution in Black." We hope the three beauties and their crafty creators will be back next year for The 28th Annual SuperNationals and Ford Family Reunion. We'll be there! | |
The 2006 F-100 SuperNationals Giveaway truck is now being built at No Limit Engineering in San Bernardino, California. Their plan is to finish the '56 Ford F-100 in time for SEMA '05 in November and the Grand National Roadster Show '06 in January. The Ford Racing-themed hot rod hauler will be driven to the 28th Annual F-100 SuperNationals and Ford Family Reunion in May 2006. Some lucky show participant or spectator will win this awesome Effie!
